My first SEO Contest

This is kind of funny first when I heard of SEO contests I wasn´t interested at all not a bit! But one of my online friends Jim Westergren talked me in to entering the contest. So I made a page in my blog about this funny keyword: v7ndotcom elursrebmem and did not expect much... The first couple of weeks I wasnt even getting indexed and sometimes indexed and the day after I was out-indexed again...

My ambition is or I have to say was to rank in the top 100! First when I finally was indexed I ended up in place 150 or something like that.. Some time passed and next time I checked I was place 120... Thats when I realized that getting in to the top 100 is problably not so hard. Also this is the first time I ever tried to optimize a site with all that I got.. Sure I done some optimizing before but never this focused I am betting everything on one card! :)

So anyway I climbed high in the v7ndotcom elursrebmem contest and realized that I might take a postition in the top 10 if I was lucky. I was right I got in the top 10 after a few months :) I should also mention that I jumped in to this contest 2 months after it started... Most optimal would really be to build your seo contest page the same day that it´s announced!

The contest ends on may 15 :2006 and last time I checked I was in position number 2 :) But winning it could be hard! But it would be nice to get those 4000 dollars as they have for prize money if you win.
